Psalm 108 is one of my favorite Psalms
God is praised and is supplicated to give Victory!
It begins with David telling God that his heart is steadfast in Him and then goes on to declare that he will sing praises to God and that even his soul will sing praises to God. He gives thanks to the Lord in front of the people and the Nations.
- He exalts God in ways that no one else did
- He was the most repentant man
- David’s heart was after God and God took notice of it
- David didn’t want to offend God
- He was always praising and worshiping God
- He always asked God what to do in situations he KNEW he needed wisdom in
The key of David that I talk about is in Ps. 108:8 Gilead is Mine, Manasseh is Mine; Ephraim also is the helmet of My head; JUDAH IS MY SCEPTER!
There is a couple of the things to note here, Judah means PRAISE and SCEPTER is ROYAL POWER! Think about this; God inhabits the PRAISE’S of His people.
The next thing I would like to share about the “KEY” of David is found in two places in the Word that are particularly worthy of being noticed. (there are more, but I’m pointing these two out.)
Zechariah 12:7 The Lord also will save (protect) the tents of “JUDAH” FIRST, so that the GLORY of THE HOUSE of DAVID and the GLORY of the inhabitants of Jerusalem will NOT be magnified above JUDAH.
God sees PRAISE as the highest form of worship. When you PRAISE God you can feel electricity in the air. That IS GOD’S Power being manifested. Then when you lay hands on someone who is sick or demon possessed they are healed and set in their right minds.
The next thing I would like to share about the “KEY” of David is found in Psalm 110
Psalm 110:1-3
V.1 The Lord says to my Lord: “Sit at My right hand UNTIL I make Your enemies a footstool for Your feet.” (talking about Jesus)
V.2 The Lord will stretch forth Your ‘STRONG SCEPTER’ (Royal Power) FROM ZION saying, “RULE in the midst of Your enemies.”
V.3 Your people will volunteer freely in the day of Your Power; in holy array (the splendor of holiness), from the womb of the dawn, Your youth are to You as the dew.
Okay, let me break this down. The Lord is going to STRETCH His STRONG SCEPTER; ROYAL POWER from Zion (the church & Israel; the Jewish people) We’ve been GRAFTED INTO the Vine!!! The Jewish people ARE God’s Chosen people. God is going to USE you AS His ROYAL SCEPTER “IN” His Power in these LAST DAYS, to do GREAT exploits according to the book of Daniel.
When you Praise and worship Jesus He CLOTHES YOU in HOLY ARRAY!! In other words, the devil/enemy CAN’T TELL IF IT’S YOU OR GOD, and He’s NOT going to mess with God!
The way that you will be PROTECTED in the days ahead IS THROUGH PRAISE AND REPENTANCE!!!! Keep Your heart clean and your mind clear! Stop worshiping at the porn shop, golf course, bank, house…etc…meaning DON’T let the THINGS of this world GRAB your attention!
If you’ve got your eyes on YOURSELF you will be DEPRESSED; If you’ve got your eyes on OTHERS you’ll be OPPRESSED; BUT, if you’ve got your eyes ON GOD; YOU’LL BE AT REST!!
